The Pattern
A great pattern to start with because it can be an easily adaptable modern shirt dress. The pattern features a deep v-neck, button front, high waistline, multiple sleeve lengths, large pockets and ties at the back to allow it to be worn in a fitted or loose style.Version 1 includes waist darts and a gathered skirt. Version 2 is a dartless blouse, and Version 3 is a dartless dress or tunic.
The Fabric
Introducing this amazing designer deadstock sourced from Italy. It is a checked black and off white / cream colour deadstock fabric which is Incredibly soft cotton flannel. Gingham fabric is instantly recognisable and a firm favourite for many especially during the spring and summer months, but also popular into Autumn. Known for its checked patterns of white and a bold colour. It is extremely versatile, a great sewing fabric which can be used for shirts, dresses, craft and lightweight furnishing uses.
The checks are roughly 8mm and appear in horizontal rows and vertical columns.
