The Kit Contains:
2.4 metres of Seersucker Pink Checks Fabric
1 Sage Brush Top paper pattern by Friday Pattern Company
1 matching Thread
1 Pack of Sewing Needles
1 metre of elastic thread
The Pattern
A great pattern to start with because it is an easy to sew blouse that is extremely versatile and works really well with numerous fabrics. The pattern has been designed to work with woven fabrics, such as linens, cottons (lawns, poplin) and for a little more drape Viscose or Rayon. Described so well by the Friday Pattern Company a “simple design of the top lends itself well to customization. Loose without being baggy, the type of breezy fit you’ll want to wear all summer. Generous puff sleeves and gathers across the front make it comfortable to move in”. It is definitely a must have in your wardrobe and the pattern provides so many lovely details, like the sleeves and neck tie at the back.
The Fabric
Introducing this amazing Italian deadstock sewing fabric. A lovely deep pink and white fabric. Gingham fabric is instantly recognisable and a firm favourite for many especially during the spring and summer months, but also popular into Autumn. Known for its checked patterns of white and a bold colour. Seersucker is a summery cotton fabric which has a puckered surface due to the alternate tight and loose yarns in the weaving process. It is extremely versatile, a great sewing fabric which can be used for shirts, dresses, craft and lightweight furnishing uses.
This is part of small selection of deadstock fabric (which means it comes from left over fabrics from fashion houses which were overestimated. So there is limited stock we will not get it again.)
