Hi everyone, thank you so much for visiting my website.
My name is Oyin and I have been sewing on and off for over 10 years. It has been a hobby that I am extremely passionate about, and I have acquired a number of amazing skills and made some great friends from the sewing community.
I think 2020 has been such a whirlwind and I am sure many of you would have thought the same. The last year has given me an opportunity to stop and assess what I wanted to achieve, and I felt this would be the time to challenge myself and turn something I love into a business.
In my previous role I had worked in the supply chain, this made me think why not combine this experience and my passion for sewing and create a website. Where people like myself can source fabrics and also get to know more of the sewing and crafting community.
Why Lush Cloth:
I chose Lush Cloth as the name because, Lush means to me attractive, good quality and can bring you a lot of pleasure and I believe that is what is achieved when purchasing fabrics you really love and want it delivered quickly so you can create something great. That sense of achievement is amazingly addictive.
The aim of Lush Cloth is to provide a range of beautiful fabrics, whilst trying to be considerate of our environment. We are going to be selective with the fabrics we offer. As much as we love you to buy everything on here, we encourage you to buy what you need and we will also look at creative ways to use your fabric scraps.
The fabrics on offer will range from well-known brands to ex-designer and deadstock. We hope by creating this website it will bring us closer to the dream of having a physical presence on our local high street, where like minded people can meet to talk all things fabric and crafting and also learn to develop your sewing skills or take the plunge and learn to sew.
As you can see, the business is just starting off and we will be continually adding new fabrics every week. We also aim to introduce haberdashery very soon, so please bear with us as we grow the business.
Thank you for joining us on this journey, we really appreciate it. We would also love your feedback, if you have ideas of some of the brands or types of fabrics you would love to see on the website please reach out via our contact us page.
